This project is aimed at analysing the basic causes of ‘flight-delay’ in UK airport. The analysis has been carried out by answering the research questions in the introduction part through visual presentation and modelling. In order to improve the convenience to the passengers; the researcher would like to provide this information to the air passengers during their searching and reservation process. The benefit of this project is that it delivers a long-term analysis, while not considering any of the short-term effects, such as existing weather or traffic condition. Flight delays pose a major issue with in the UK airline industry as they leads to customer dissatisfactions, financial loss and negative impact on the commercial reputation of the airline industry. The current project explores past three years of airline ‘on-time performance’ data from Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) that is based on monthly aggregate level.
